Junior Roller Derby Gains Traction Nationwide

Junior roller derby is gaining traction across the country, with many more organizations adopting their own junior league. Skating in a league can be empowering for anyone, but it especially is for these young girls. An article in The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner quotes one girl saying that “roller derby fills a void.” Perhaps this revival in roller derby will fill a void left by more traditional sports, providing adolescents with the opportunity to really let loose.
