Microbe Mixers at Derby Bouts

Researcher Jessica Green, who once skated for the Emerald City Roller Girls, recently conducted a study to determine how much bacteria moves around at a roller derby bout. Green, along with a a team of researchers from the University of Oregon, studied three teams from geographically different areas. The team discovered that samples from each region initially looked very different, but after moving around and bumping into each other it was much harder to separate the regions.
